  My wife finally became pregnant and we couldn't have been happier. When 15 weeks came we came across some complications. This whole time was extremely stressful and emotional for us both. We had a follow up appt to see how things were going. Dr. Brown entered the room and didn't even acknowledge that I was the wife, let alone acknowledge that another human being was in the room. Finally when I put my hand out to introduce myself she avoided shaking it. Finally she broke the news that our baby no longer had a heartbeat. My wife and I were devastated. In disbelief and shock my wife asks nicely if she could check and show us. She rudely replied, "no, I just checked and that's why I'm in here." Her tone was rude and condescending to say the absolute least. Avoid this Dr. at all costs! The absolute worst human being you could have interacting with people, ever. She is the most cold, rude, insensitive Dr. my wife and I have ever experienced.

  Our baby's heart beat stopped and after three weeks of nothing coming out on its own, I took a medication to help clear everything out. I had to follow up with Kaiser the next day and the provider on call was Dr. Patricia Brown. When she came in she said that I "didn't have much of a baby anyway". I was so hurt and sad by this that I started to cry. This was a very wanted and planned pregnancy and we even got to see our baby's heart beat at one point. For her to tell me that my baby wasn't much of anything was very hurtful and insensitive. I then asked a few more questions and expressed my concerns about recurrent pregnancy loss and asked about specific testing. She said that she "wasn't concerned about me" and that if I wanted further testing I would have to follow up with a reproductive endocrinologist. These are basic test that any Ob/Gyn should know about and be able to order competently. I left the office that day feeling worse off than I did before because not only did our baby die but I felt like none of the doctors cared about me or my baby or the health of my future pregnancies.
