  These are true professionals with a gental touch' I haven't been tk the dentist in a few years so I was nervous but they went above and beyond my expections !   Dr. Gernhofer and his staff treated me like family and kept me informed and comfortable the entire time. From the moment that I checked in to fill out all the necessary new patient paperwork, I felt comfortable and at ease. After the new patient paperwork was complete, I went to get a full mouth x-ray set taken. The woman taking my x-ray was polite, courteous and professional. After my x-rays, I met with Dr. Gernhofer and together, we developed a dental treatment plan that was specific to me and was based entirely on the dental healthcare concerns that I was experiencing. After having met with Dr. Gernhofer, I rescheduled my first treatment appointment for a few weeks later when I had more time. When I arrived to have the first procedure of my dental treatment plan done, again the staff made me feel comepletly at home and made me feel like I was surrounded by family that cared about me as a person. While waiting for Dr. Gernhofer to finish up with another patient, I had a very pleasant conversation with the dental assistant. While speaking with her, she treated me in a very humanistic way and further empowered me by providing me identify and address some dental hygene issues that I was having. For me, it was so nice to be treated like a human in an environment where it was understandable that it is sometimes hard to floss every day. After a few short minutes with the dental assistant, Dr. Gernhofer came in and remembered exactly who I was and was genuinely happy to see me. I needed to get two restorations done, and during the entire procedure, Dr. Gernhofer really cared about my comfort level and even warned me when I would feel a “pinch” as a result of anesthetics being applied. I felt pressure, but no very very little pain, and I am very sensitive to pain, so I was very relieved. Because Dr. Gernhofer knew that I was interested in seeing the decay on the tooth that he was working on, he asked me if I wanted him to take some photos so that I could have a better idea of what was going on. He took some quick pictures and then explained to me exactly where the decay was and showed me exactly what the rest of the procedure would entail. Dr. Gernhofer and the staff that support him are amazing and without question I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in receiving quality dental care in a clinic where they treat you like family.
