  I went to Dr. Brown for my second pregnancy that ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks resulting in a D&C when my body wouldn't miscarry naturally. During one of my scheduled appointments (where I learned of the miscarriage) I could hear her in the next room arguing loudly about a girl with her college aged son on the phone for around 40 minutes while I sat and waited to get our bad news in tears in the examination room. It was a devastating time for us, and I got no apology or even acknowledgment for her lateness when she finally did come in 40 minutes late to my SCHEDULED appointment. The visit took five minutes and I received no answers, just that I'd have to wait for another miscarriage to happen before I could get any testing done at all. This is generally not the case, most medical facilities now consider two consecutive miscarriages "recurrent" and will submit testing if you ask for it. I also never received a phone call to tell me of an HPV diagnosis, which didn't cause the miscarriage, but her nurse casually brought it up during the next appointment a couple weeks later like it was nothing.

  I recently moved and was looking for a new doctor and found Dr Brown on Google. I will admit that she was a very nice doctor, one I likely would have wanted to see again until I got my bill. I went in for a routine check up and during I had a pain when she pressed on my lower right abdomen. I wasn't sure what it was and she mentioned me coming back for an ultrasound to see about cysts. Well, the pain went away and I never got the ultrasound but to my surprise I was billed for TWO dr visits that day. The lady at the front desk said it was due to the Dr mentioning having the ultrasound during my appointment. I called and talked to billing several times and they were not willing to change that or to code my routine exam correctly to where it would be covered by my insurance either. In my mind when I go to the Dr I want to be able to trust they are not going to over charge me or bill me for two exams in one day just because they took one minute to recommend a follow up treatment since I was having pain that RELATED to my current exam. I thought you were billed for what you have done not for what they simply recommend and you don't do. I will not be going back and I not only wouldn't recommend people to go here I actually warn my friends in the area to avoid going there and being over charged and then not cared for about your concerns with billing.
