  as others have noted, this office engages in deceptive billing practices. they will bombard you with messages to come in for services. when i called to inquire what my child was due for, they said he needed his "standard" second cleaning and exam for the year. i asked if this was covered under our plan and they confirmed that it was. therefore we scheduled and received the recommended service. sometime after we received a bill from their office for the service. i called and spoke with their staff on two occasions, and on both occasions was told the bill would be handled or i would receive a call from management. they never followed up but continued to invoice us for that service. when i finally heard from them months later, they said they were "sorry that [your] insurance plan has terrible coverage," and "it is a benefit [your insurance] should be providing." whether or not the dentist considers a service "standard," a patient generally is not going to agree to it unless it is covered by their insurance. i, and probably most people, always confirm insurance coverage before having work done. beware - this office will schedule you for services that are not covered, or worse, tell you they are covered when they aren't.
